I looked through the message board to find your intro but didn't see it. Are you going through this year or did you do it last? It certainly isn't easy looking at yourself so introspectively but it's really worth the work. Wait till you get to Exercise 4 and whoa, 5 is really tough. Hope to see you on the message boards there.

Reba

RebaRebahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12978645889730930574noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6524621435338285293.post-12214169995711699782012-01-17T21:18:41.800-06:002012-01-17T21:18:41.800-06:00Path, I'm so sorry the purses you worked so ha...Path, I'm so sorry the purses you worked so hard on didn't sell, how disappointing after working so hard. And you're so right, I do have a great job and family. My focus is definitely changing. Thank you for sharing your story.

RebaRebahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12978645889730930574noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6524621435338285293.post-88029837809900942302012-01-17T21:09:10.418-06:002012-01-17T21:09:10.418-06:00Janlynn,
I'm so sorry to hear your story but ...Janlynn,

I'm so sorry to hear your story but so happy you're starting to recover. Thank you for posting your story. I'm grateful that I was able to recognize the drain it was causing me. I'm glad to know you're reconnecting with your sewing machine.

RebaRebahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12978645889730930574noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6524621435338285293.post-86982126382717773562012-01-17T12:47:29.114-06:002012-01-17T12:47:29.114-06:00There comes a time (or more times) in everyone'...There comes a time (or more times) in everyone's life to make decisions - you ow it also to yourself. In the end you must do what makes you happy and there is no reason to feel guilty about it.

Good luck with what you do (I also subscribed to No Regrets Career Academy).

I will continue reading your blog and really want to keep track of what is happening.Susan Combrinckhttp://scombrinck.blogspot.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6524621435338285293.post-51470315539607528852012-01-17T10:18:39.650-06:002012-01-17T10:18:39.650-06:00Reba, I think you are really wise to do this. It changed from fun and interesting to a task. And the worse thing was they didn't sell. You have such a good job and great family that you should spend your free time having fun and relaxing--not stressing. When you retire you will have so much time on your hands you can work on your internet business then and really enjoy it.path7401https://www.blogger.com/profile/03621702507191811853noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6524621435338285293.post-67057813575770664292012-01-17T08:21:01.301-06:002012-01-17T08:21:01.301-06:00Reba, you have put so much thought into this decis...Reba, you have put so much thought into this decision. I love the way you have documented the journey.
I wanted to tell you a little of my story. I too thought that I would turn my passion for sewing into a career. It was a dream for so many years. It quickly became my nightmare. It is the biggest regret of my life. The toll on myself, family, and savings have taken years to repair. Not only that I has left with no dream and no direction. It really took a long time to recover. I did not sew for many years after. I donated my machines and fabric to charity. I was done - burnt out. I could not even sketch. Slowly, I have been coming back to sewing and rediscovering my creativity. But I refuse to ever sew for anyone other than family again.Janhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08656125532788011700noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6524621435338285293.post-32007931875066267892012-01-16T20:07:47.761-06:002012-01-16T20:07:47.761-06:00This comment has been removed by the author.MaryNellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02784011259638381732noreply@blogger.com
